We’re back!
Fortunately we didn’t have to delay your Paypal payments for more than two days. Our Paypal account is restored now and payments for earnings earned through the last day of December 2011 were just sent.
Apologies for the delay, and as always,
Happy publishing!

Dear Triond users.
Up until today we have never been late with your payments. We always issued your payments on time.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances that are not in our control, there is a chance that you’ll see today pass without that Paypal notification of a new payment you’re so used to on each 10th of the month.
Last Saturday, on January 7th, our Paypal account has been suspended. This is nothing out of the ordinary. Paypal considers the security of its users very highly and their approach is to take no risk and suspend accounts in which they encounter an abnormal behavior, genuine as it is, until they investigate the matter. As a matter of fact, our account had already been suspended twice in the past due to similar reasons and had been restored several days afterwards. Of course you knew nothing about it when it happened and didn’t notice it since we were all lucky enough not to have our account suspended during the 10th of the month.
However, unfortunate as it is, this is exactly the case today. Having been suspended on the weekend, while restoration can be done only on regular Paypal working hours, we had a very narrow window of chance to make it to the 10th with a restored account. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, and we’re still in the middle of the process to restore our Paypal account.
We hope it won’t be long and we will keep you updated about this matter and issue your payments as soon as we are able to do so.
Checks and Western Union payments were issued earlier as usual.
Our Sincere apologies,
The Triond Team

The Triond Forum started out as a place to share knowledge and ideas about publishing online, and as a resource for the benefit of the Triond community. It was our long time policy to keep it free of moderation in order to enable true and direct conversation, but this inherent characteristic of the forum is also what brought its demise.
Somewhere along the way the Forum started to slowly drift away from its original role as a helpful, unbiased resource for writers, and became more of a distraction than anything else. We made a short attempt at moderation, in order to try and tilt the forum back in the right direction, but it was not received well, so we’ve reverted the forum back to its no-moderation status. And since then, it has been causing more trouble than being helpful in any way.
We actually see this as a positive stage in the evolution of the Triond community. We think that more energy can be focused now on creating fresh, unique and original content to be published on our sites, and less energy will be spent sifting through the forum pages, trying to make sense of the rubble.
We hope you share our positive feelings on this matter, and we know that either way, you’ll let us know by commenting here
.
And as always, Happy Publishing!

The August Special and new flagging system have been quite a success. Thanks to your help, we were able to achieve the following so far:
- 516 spam articles deleted
- 652 insufficient quality articles deleted
- 362 plagiarized articles deleted
- 287 adult articles deleted
- 1,302 articles redirected
This is a great accomplishment and we want to wish a sincere ‘Thank You’ to everyone who helped us make this happen!
Now that we’ve begun getting rid of the bad, it’s time to replace it with the good! Simply put, we need a boost in high-quality articles. In order to help facilitate this, we resurrecting an old favorite: a Quantity Challenge (Just like in the good old days!).
This time around, we want to make sure that the quantity challenge won’t result in a surge of low quality submissions. To make sure this happens, we are integrating the Quantity Challenge with the flagging system. The nuts and bolts of the new challenge are as follows:
- Publish 5 articles + 5 flags and get a 10% bonus
- Publish 10 articles + 2 flags and get a 20% bonus
- Publish 20 articles and get a 30% bonus. No flagging needed.
Some important details:
- Flagging will only count for articles that were published in September
- Any articles you flag must actually be removed or redirected in order for them to quality you for the bonus (i.e., don’t spam by flagging)
- We strongly recommend writing high quality articles. This will increase your chances to get traffic (& revenues) and decrease the chances of your articles being deleted.
Lastly, be aware that not all sites on the Triond Network are participating. The following sites are excluded: Authspot, Notecook, Relijournal, Picable, Loudio & Kleep. The rest are fair game.
This is very exciting. We look forward to receiving lots of quality content articles and are eager to continue improving our content network. Good luck to you all and, as always, Happy Publishing!

Update: Here’s the badge you will be getting… Go get it!
Update 2: A new box was added to the Dashboard showing the number of flagged articles that are relevant to this month’s special. We added this box because for the bonus we count only flagged articles that have been published on September and on the Activity box we show the total number of articles. Thank you Alistair Briggs!
