RSS Feeds on Content Sites
Today we launched the RSS feature for our content websites. Since many internet users enjoy the ease and convenience of RSS and use it to stay up to date with their favourite websites, we believe it is a very important feature. We have had many requests to supply some sort of way to be informed when new content is added to sites, to follow up article’s comments, to be informed of new items by a specific content creator etc. So we believe that RSS feeds are the best solution.
There are 4 types of RSS feeds available:
- Feed for new items on a channel (that also includes the home channel of a site, that is, the complete site).
- Feed for new items on a specific tag.
- Feed for new items by a specfic content creator.
- Feed for new comments on a specific item.
Accessing the RSS feed is very simple: no matter what kind of feed it is, there is one standard “subscribe” button in a box on the additional info column, that links to the RSS feed that is releavant to the page you’re viewing. For example, if you are on the homepage of a site and press the “subscribe” button, you will get the whole site’s feed. If you’re on a tag page and press “subscribe”, you’ll get the tag’s feed, etc…
We are very happy with this new service, and hope it will be helpful to our content sites surfers.
