A Big Thank You

Thank You All!

Because if it wasn’t for you, dear Triond members, and if you wouldn’t have sent us all the support emails or wouldn’t have initiated live chats with us, we couldn’t have known how to improve Triond.
In other words – maybe we actually programmed Triond 2.0, but it was all of you who defined it. And for that we are thankful.

Major Triond Change – Triond 2.0 ?

Today we launched a major change to the Triond core architecture and logic. It was about 2 weeks of intense coding, and among ourselves we codenamed this change Triond 2.0…

The most notable change is in the income and payment logic. We had many support requests regarding this subject, and we decided that the user interface should be made more friendly and understandable, and that we should drop the EPM method and move to daily payments. That means two important things:

  • No more estimated income – now each day income will be calculated. As the month progresses, you can keep track on your actual income.
  • There are 3 payment types you’ll come across:
    1. Waiting Payment – a payment for last month, that will be paid on the end of the current month.
    2. Last Payment – the last payment that we paid you.
    3. Current month’s income – the accumulating day to day income of this current month.

We also changed user interface in most sections:

  • On the welcome screen after login, you will see a summary of your income and your content. You will also have quicklinks to the major functions, like publishing and editing your account details.
  • On the My Income section, you now have 2 tables. One table will summarize future payments, and the other will give payment history in detail. You can also click a payment id, and see it’s structure.
  • On the My Content section, you now have 3 tabs. The first tab is for published content, and lists your published content items and their earnings. The second tab shows waiting content items, that is, content items that are awaiting publication by us. The third tab shows content items that you sent us but were declined.

There are many other changes that will go unnoticed by our members, and have to do with system performance and administration.

We hope that all these changes will make the use of Triond easier and more productive.

See you in Triond 2.1 :)

Let’s Share

It seems that everyone wants to share these days. And it’s not a new-age thing, it’s a new-web thing, the web 2.0 concept of user-generated-Internet.

So we added a great feature to items on our content websites – with a click of a button, you can now share the item you’re viewing using your favourite sharing tool (del.icio.us, digg, newsvine, furl, yahoo myweb, reddit and fark). Check out the “Share It” section between the article content and the “Comments” section.

Aside from it being neat and cool, it will also help promote content items, as now every reader can distribute and share our content over all the popular platforms.

Triond goes Multilingual

Today we launched a major modification to the Triond core, which includes support for languages.

Up until now, content could be submitted in any language, but the Triond interface was only available in English. As of today Triond will also include interfaces in other languages. This is a major improvement, since it will be friendlier and more appealing to non-english-speaking members.

For now we have implemented the English version and the Hebrew version. More Triond translations soon to come.

Cheers to our International members!
