Picable Launched

It has been a few days of intense publishing – so intense that we have a new service in the air for a couple of days now, and only now I find the time to post about it…
Our new pictures site is up and running. Picable has a true Web 2.0 feel in design and navigation, and we hope to make it one of the largest photo stock sites out there. Since it’s launch we’ve been receiving hundreds of photos, and it’s been great publishing them.
Well, off to publish some pictures

I have told everyone on my job about Triond. The office people were interested in Triond too. Some people seem really excited and might be sending some pictures.
Gail Nobles told me about this site. I think it is great. I am so glad she told me. I love taking pictures and this is a very good way to share.Thank you so much for inventing this. I look foward to sending more of my work as soon as I can.
I also like this site very much! It feels good to publish the photos that have been hidden in my drawer, for the rest of the world to use, and of course make some money out of it.
We need to be able to publish some high quality photos too. Can’t do that yet, as far as I can see. I can’t even submit my 5 megapixel shots, and only the lowest quality ones get published at all, and they look worse when published than they did when submitted. Not good.
Kristie,
We now allow uploading files sized up to 50M so you can submit high quality pics.
One other thing – I don’t know if you have noticed, but every pic you submit get to be published in 3 different sizes and quality. You have the thumbnail on the front, search, tag, shooter, and category page. Then if you click it, you get to see it in a medium size. You may have not noticed that you can click it then once more and open a window in which the image is displayed in its original size and quality.
I guess that the availability of that last click is not so clear and we have to stand it out a little more
I would like to ask all Picable publishers, if you do not mind, to write down the place your photos were taken. You publish some beautiful photos, and I am very curious about them.
Thank you,
Shiri
I think it would be really cool if we could publish bitmap drawings/paintings as well as photos. I have a couple I’d like to submit if that ever becomes possible. What do you think?
where did you find those furnishings?
i have that too!
