Today we added the Popular Writers Cloud to our articles sites. Like in the multimedia sites, in each category you now have a cloud of popular writers, sorted alphabetically and with names enlarged by popularity.

In addition, audio pages on Loudio now show related audio on the left column. After you’ve heard a song you like, you can click the suggested audio to hear some more audio of the same category.

The last few days were focused on changes to the articles sites core, but these changes will probably go unnoticed by you, as is the case with most core changes.

We hope you find the writers cloud useful. I always wanted my name to be written in the clouds.

On the left column of Picable and Loudio you can now see a cloud of popular members, similar to the popular tags cloud. We have had several requests to put a navigation feature such as this, so we added it today.

The cloud (conforming to tag clouds unwritten rules) is sorted alphabetically, with popularity being marked by font size. It reflects the popular members of the current channel viewed.
This feature will soon be added to our articles sites as well.

We had just finalized the collection of September income and thought that there is no point in waiting with payments processing until the end of the month.

So once again we issue payments earlier than schedule, and this time we have no weekend as an excuse

Those of you who are paid by PayPal will see their earnings instantly in their PayPal accounts. Those of you who prefer checks – please be sure to check your mailbox in the following couple of weeks.

It seems today is a day of nifty little additions.

You’ll notice that a picture page on picable now contains related pictures on the left column. It’s a nice addition that lets you see pictures that will probably interest you, because they are related by subject or content to the picture you’re viewing.

We hope this feature enhances your navigating experience, and that you’ll be exposed to more beautiful pictures!

On top of the RSS addition I mentioned in the previous post, we have also made several “behind the scenes” improvements to our loudio player and logic, which now accelerate the file download and its credibility (you might have noticed that from time to time the audio itself was not accessible).

Loudio still remains in beta stage, but now you’ll have a better experience.

We have just added the much expected RSS feeds feature on our multimedia sites (Picable and Loudio). The mechanism is the same as on our articles sites – you have feeds for channels (including the homepage), for tags, for artists and for specific item’s comments. All you have to do is press the RSS feed button () on the appropriate place, and copy the url to your favorite RSS reader.

We hope this feature let’s you keep up on new items as they’re being added to your favorite artists or favorite subjects pages.

Syndication is the best, don’t you think?

Good news for all our devoted members – yesterday we launched Relijournal, a site which will deal with all issues concerning religion. You’ll notice that articles about religion that were formerly on Quazen are now up at Relijournal.

Well, we’re up again. We had major power failure problems with our servers (it’s a long story with third parties involved, we won’t bore you with the details).

The important thing is that we are now up, and all the data is intact.
