December Earnings Sent

We had higher amount of checks to issue this month so a lot more work for the mailmen on behalf of Triond. A lot more work for PayPal as well, however PayPal payments are computerized so not too much sweat there.

  1. Ericyum says:

    Woot!! thanks Triond… :)

  2. Steven Hays says:

    I can’t wait…

P.S. how long does it take to receive payments within the U.S.?

  3. Steven,

I assume you are waiting for a check payment. Checks should be delivered within the following two weeks.

  4. Raylight says:

Many thanks for the money, I just got 1 thing to say:
Recently there is a impersonator, that is stealing the triond members nicknames, to fool arround and post bad, spamming comments.
As I can see, he is using, my nick, dominion’s, Feeker2’s, aethrum’s and maybe more. The impersonator is posting comments with our nicks that ruins our reputation and specially spamms articles, witch also ruins that site.
I send you complaining mails, but I never got an answer.
I would apreciate if you do something about it.
The impersonator post comments mostly on gamelosophy in runescape articles.
Once again thanks for the money.

  5. HawaiiGopher says:

Ah yes, I’ve also seen that issue occur. It seems it is too easy to simply impersonate another member. Possibly adding a required password could solve the problem. However, if the problem can not be solved I’m assuming we can all live with immature members stealing our names. Those with common sense will know that authors wouldn’t ruin their reputations like that.

  6. Vincent says:

Hey i was just wondering about my payment it shows that i have published 5 articles and had 5 views per how come it only shows my payment as 1 cent??? huh? and i didn’t recieve a yougotcash email to my paypal account what is going on r u scamming me do u want me to call the cops?

  7. Raylight says:

Yes. You’re so right HawaiiGopher, and that, is a good solution. Only the triond members could post comments. But, keep someone watching the comments and delete the spamming ones could solve the problem too… i think

  8. Vincent,

I had to edit your comment since the language you used is not acceptable. I did want to answer you so I hadn’t deleted your comment altogether.

The reason you did not receive a payment is that this payment was issued in respect of December 2006 earnings. Since you joined only in January 2007, you will take part in the next payment cycle on late February.

  9. Raylight,

I am aware of your issue. Right now we are thinking of the best ways to solve it and I hope a solution will be available soon.

  10. Feeker2 says:

I would wonder why they wanna steal our names. There are many people who love to criticise for no reason.

  11. likespie says:

It is true that some of the immature, possibly kids are spamming under the false nicknames of some of the honored members. But seriously i do not really see the problem because everybody knows people like dominion will not post rude comments on articles. Maybe i will realize the seriousness of it when my name got stolen. :D

  12. BloodSin says:

Umm, after 1 day my article was published I looked at my future payments and it only said 3 cents. Dont i get at elast 50 cents?

  13. Kristie Leigh Karns says:

This is an answer to the question by Steven Hays. The U.S. checks take a long time to arrive, but be warned because when mine arrived my bank would not cash it because it is a foreign check. I don’t know if others are having this problem or not, but I am now using paypal instead. Bloodsin, to answer your question, it takes a lot of articles in order to make some halfway decent money. Be patient and do a LOT of writing. :)

  14. Zia says:

hey thanks Triond it is great to get paid for doing something I enjoy and no its not a lot of money but is life about money or the pleasure of writting somthing that others read and enjoy. Thanks again Triond

  15. HawaiiGopher says:

Umm, after 1 day my article was published I looked at my future payments and it only said 3 cents. Dont i get at elast 50 cents? – BloodSin

Well, BloodSin, you only get at least fifty cents of payment if your article has raised fifty cents. I think you’re most likely wondering why your article didn’t immediately earn fifty cents. Well, what the site means by “You get paid a minimum of 50 cents” is that at the end of the month you’ll only get paid if you got 50 cents or more.

  16. VIncent says:

So umm my current due payment is 19 cents so if i don’t make it up to 50 cents i don’t get paid anything at all?

  17. Steven Hays says:

    Kristie Leigh Karns,

Thanks for the head up. And, yeah, you do have to publish a lot to get anything decent… unless you can find something that many people are interested in.

  18. cherry386 says:

How exactly does payment work…how is it determined how much people make. Is it by how many views, or how many people buy it, or what. Sorry I am new…dont’ quite understand it…

  19. Feeker2 says:

    Answer to cherry386:
Just view the tips on making more income on Triond. The more contents you make, the more people click, you earn more money. Don’t need to worry about how is the process of making money. Just bear this in mind: More Views, More contents, More Money.

  20. BloodSin says:

ummm how do i make mroe money. Is it when everytime someone looks at my article i get payed?

  21. Lindsay says:

I have published a couple times and have yet to receive any payment…

Can someone tell me what’s going on here?
    Am I doing something wrong?

  22. For further payments explanation, please read http://www.triond.com/faq.php#q17

  23. Pearl says:

Is there a possibility in the near future that we can get paid thru e-gold?

    Thanks!

  24. Pearl,

We may enable e-gold and/or any other service (kobo?)in the future, however for the time being we stick with PayPal.

  25. Steven Hays says:

I just received my check… its hand-written, and partly in a different language. If it weren’t so much, I would not cash it and save it in my foreign money collection… but I don’t feel like it.

I have a question. If all the checks are hand-written, how many members are there? I couldn’t imagine there are too many, because it would take FOREVER to write out all those checks…

Thanks a million for the money!

    ~Steven Hays~

  26. lisa arlin says:

Hi there so the next payment will be in febuary
what is the most again you can earn and the least and
    why? signed confused!

  27. lisa says:

After reading some of the messages on here woa!
like now I am even more confused so I am going to get payed 1 penny or not at all? At least I have a pay pal account do you really get paid?

    cheers!

    lisa

  28. Steven,

The amount of checks we issue did not justify an automated checking system yet. We issue only several checks as the majority of our payments are done via PayPal.
In fact, when we just started Triond we didn’t even want to enable check payments in the first place since PayPal payments are so swift and reliable and make much more sense in the online world we are active in. Checks seemed so “ancient” to us. There are much more hassles both to us and to you and the process is more expensive.
However, some of our users prefer check payments. We do want to be able to serve them and pay them. So we will have to improve in this field as well.

  29. lisa,

Next payment is indeed due to the end of February.
Regarding earnings, I am not able to disclose user earnings (I wouldn’t want to violate Triond’s Privacy Policy).
If any of the users wishes to share this information with you they are welcome.

  30. Miranda says:

Just curious… how much are you guys making on average per month? I just stumbled across this site and it looks interesting. I’ve been working freelance through another site for over a year and it’s been pretty successful… hoping I can get the same results here!

  31. David says:

    I make average of $2.00 – $3.00 a month and I have 100 articles LOL
