Hardware Components are Hard

We are experiencing some unexpected technical difficulties with some of our hardware components since the last upgrade. Our teams are working on resolving these issues, and this is the reason for our services being currently unavailable. We are doing our best to bring the service back up as soon as possible, and we apologize for the downtime. Just to be clear, there is no harm to any of your data or content. We will keep you updated.

UPDATE: We are still working on bringing the service back online. Estimated time as of now is within 4 hours.

Some New Triond Features

Today we added some requested features to the Triond interface (Anne noticed the change before we even had the chance to announce…).

You can now delete published content items from the “Published Content” tab, and waiting content items from the “Waiting Content” tab. All you have to do is click the delete icon. Please note, that this action is irreversible, so be cautious when using it. Actually, there usually is no reason to delete a content item, because after it is deleted it obviously cannot generate revenue… And if it is needed to be fixed you can submit a fix. Use this feature only for the rare occasions where you really need to take the item down.

Another new feature is the ability to change your pen name and email address.  You can do this from the “My Account” section. Please note that once you change your email, you will receive an activation link to the newly entered email, and the change itself will occur only after you press this link.

We hope you use these new features wisely.

Bookstove Launched

It’s true that we spend most of our day staring at radiating monitors, seeing images and text fly by at high speeds (broadband is great, isn’t it?). But then at the end of the day, we have to relax. I find myself enjoying the old fashioned way of entertainment – reading books. Classics and drama, sci-fi and horror, all are just great. Yesterday for example I took the dust off of “East of Eden”. Ah! What a great feeling it was! I could literally see the vast Salinas!

And now, unsurprisingly, I’m in front of a monitor again :) . And we give you Bookstove, a place to share these kind of experiences.

Picable Redesigned

We’ve been a bit quiet lately here in our blog, or at least so it seems from my standpoint. Well, in our case, when we’re quiet here it means we’re brewing something big (I can tell you a secret – we are always brewing something big :) ). So if you still haven’t noticed, this morning our Picable users woke up to a brand new world of photo sharing.

Completely redesigned, Picable now delivers the most appealing, interesting and fun experience of photo sharing.  The most notable changes are the photo sizes we display (large!), the new viewing options (slideshow included!), and some more navigation options (it’s so fun pressing the “Next” button, isn’t it?). There are of course many more changes, but I leave them for you to discover.

We have some more features in store that we will be adding in the near future, such as user defined sets and more sorting options. Be sure to check back often.

As always, we would love to hear your input and thoughts on the new design and functionality. We hope you like the new Picable as much as we do!
