Sunday, July 29th, 2007 - 7:28 am - News
We have scheduled a hardware upgrade to one of our service components, which means that we will be down tonight for about 1 hour. The downtime is scheduled to start at 2:00 AM PST. As always, we hope to be back online as soon as possible.
UPDATE: The upgrade has been postponed, and will begin at 3:00 AM.
UPDATE: The upgrade is finished, we are back online.

I am not sure if this had anything to do with the updates, but I was unable to log in. I have also found that all the content sites to have no content.
Yes, I also find myself unable to log in.
The same is true for me also. I thought I had forgotten my password. But the content sites also do not show anything. I don’t think all of our content will be lost.
But I have backup of all articles on my computer in case unexpected happens.
In btw, Oren Solomianik what is the reason for this maintenance? Is it because of excessive traffic?
I’m aware that the last reply to this was at 10:39, but the problem is still persisting, as it is now 3:51 PST and I am also unable to log in.
We had an unexpected problem with our database server, which is now fixed, and all data is intact. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Fornls, regarding your question, the maintenance purpose was indeed to increase the service performance in light of increasing load.
Yes, that is very important. As the traffic increase the load on the server increases and the servers can crash easily if they are not taken care of at an early stage.
It is a good thing on the Adminitrator’s side that they are taking care of server load also. Thanks to Triond team.
