Did you notice anything new in Triond today? Hey, yes, what is that new section called “My Community”?
A greatly anticipated feature of Triond is here – our social network. It is the place to easily communicate with one another, to make friends and follow their content, and to get to know some of your readers better. We know it will make your Triond experience much more lively and complete.
Let’s get you acquainted with this new, exciting feature. Go on, click that “My Community” link. You will see five different tabs:
- News Feed displays notifications of what your friends did lately.
- Inbox is your place to read private messages sent to you by other users. You can keep or delete these, and you can also reply to messages.
- My Friends shows you a list of people you added as friends. You can send them a message from here and go to their profile pages. Remember, you will receive notifications of their actions in your News Feed.
- My Fans shows you a list of your fans. Fans are people who added you as a friend. It probably means they like your work and like to receive notifications about you. You can send them a message from here, and if you want to add them as friends, you can do that from their profile pages.
- Search Friends is easy, all you have to do is punch in a pen name (or at least a part of one), and you’ll be able to locate other Triond members and add them as friends.
But wait! None of this would be complete without some changes to your account. You can now upload a profile picture (instead of the default one that we give you), and you can also write a little something about yourself in the profile description. You also have the option to show the world who your friends are and where you’re from. All of these can be found at the bottom of the “My Account” section.
One last thing is your profile page. There’s a link on the Welcome screen, just after you log in, to your public profile page. On this page other people can see your profile picture and what you wrote about yourself in your profile description. If they’re logged in, they can send you a message or add you as a friend. And, if you allowed it, they can also see your friends.
Of course, as always, we would very much like to receive your feedback. After all, this is your community, you empower it and make it tick. Take the time to investigate these new features. Upload a profile picture, make friends, communicate with each other, and enjoy the new community life in Triond!

The 15th is here, and last month’s payments were promptly issued. Please check your PayPal accounts if paid by PayPal, or your mailboxes in the next couple of days if paid by check.
There were a few minor improvements lately, mostly to some interfaces throughout our content network. They were very minor and did not mandate a blog post, hence the relative quietness in our posts.
However! Next few weeks we’re planning some major improvements, things we’ve been working on for a while. You know we don’t like to tell before the deed is done, but expect a whole new component on the Triond interface, infrastructure improvements, and some more surprises. Stay tuned.
