Facebook Application

Facebook is a phenomenon, no doubt about it. Their impressive growth this year, along with their move to open up the network for application developers, has placed them as one of the most powerful social networks on the web. It seems no day goes by without hearing the word “Facebook” pop up at least a couple of times.

So there’s good news for all our users with Facebook accounts – today we have launched our Facebook application. With it, you can submit content for publication straight from Facebook, you can showcase your recently published content on your Facebook profile page, and you can track your published and pending content. From your Facebook profile page, you can also easily share links to your content with your friends.

The application also enables new users to sign up for Triond, and you can use the “Invite” tab to invite your Facebook friends to join in.

We hope you find this application useful and fun! Go ahead and add it!

  1. I’ve just realised that I’ve been the first to post for quite a few of these blogs. Anyway, here I go.

I think that facebook is definitely a valued addition to Triond. Well done!

I’ve just added it. Thank you.

  2. Drew Sherman says:

Hmm it currently says 2 daily active users, that’s including me. I’m unsure whether this is going to be as successfull as you hoped, or if it will be like all my articles on day one. (Slow start, strong ending) I like that I can view my articles income, and view count while on facebook. I’m on facebook almost as much as this so I will sure make use of it. Anyways great work!

  3. Joshua Salik says:

How can I register to Facebook?

  4. Drew Sherman says:

You go to http://www.facebook.com and sign up. I believe you only need to enter an email, and then some information such as age. Any information you enter will not be shown to other unless you let them. Hope this helps.

  5. Ralph Brandt says:

You know, I read this and still don’t have any idea why I would want to join Facebook. What am I missing?

  6. ajay says:

there are time when your life will be flashed to you as a story, make it intereseting by more characters ( friends and ememies, funny and sad moments, love and hatred) everything constitutes the blue print of life….find everything you seek at facebook,,,,even the secrets of your conincidences…as life is a story and u r the writer…njoy

  7. Dear Editor,

Happy New Year! Is there any way that we could have an option to follow-up our comments into our in-box?

I’m not very good with technical terms, but I’ll try to explain what I mean.

Sometimes I leave comments about different articles, and would like to keep up with what others are saying. Other times I’d ask a question, but then forget which article it was.

What I’m asking is for a box to tick which would send the follow up comments into our inbox (if we choose to do so).

I don’t know if this is possible or doable, as I may be the only person who thinks that this is a worthwhile addition.

  8. Judy L SheldonWalker says:

I love that idea, Anne. I have also wondered about comments I have left – comments to my comments, so to say, and if you read 20 articles that day, it is somewhat difficult to remember which one and by whom.

  9. Hi Triond,

Do you have any news on my query above?

    Thanks,
    Anne

  10. Hello Anne,

As always, we are taking your suggestions into consideration for inclusion in future versions of Triond.

Please feel free to keep suggesting :) .

  11. I have a Facebook account, but honestly it is a pain compared to Myspace. I’d rather be able to upload my blogs from blogger.com or myspace.com Facebook is slower, doesn’t guard your privacy as much and seems to be more about always asking you to add on features that in turn puts stuff on your pc and clogs it down.

  12. M. J. Smith says:

I uploaded a piece of work through Facebook nearly two months ago, and it’s still pending. Why is this? My work was put up in about two days through the triond site.

  13. Kim Donovan says:

    Hi M.J.

Please email me all the information about which article and the process you used, so that I can look into this further.

    Thanks,
    Kim

What does anyone think about starting a Triond Network on Facebook. Lots of workplaces network there, so why not us?

    Louie

  15. lizzie2uk says:

I have requested that Triond be included on Facebook as a workplace network. I have no idea how long it will take for them to respond.

  16. UnfaceNef says:

Maybe, but i’m sceptic. Your voice is pretty, but the competition is quite hards as i see.

    cheers,
