Earnings Error Has Been Resolved

Earlier today we noticed a glitch in our system that was causing earnings to be reported incorrectly. We have fixed the problem and you will now see the correct amount of your earnings posted to your account.

YEs, i was thinking how did i suddenly got 15$…FIrst i was happy, but then i thought that it is sure an error.
I was feeling happy and excited too. Until I read that it was an error, then my sugar levels plummeted.
Well… it was good while it lasted. Hundreds of pounds! I wish I’d kept a screenshot of it. The only drawback is, I don’t know how to do one.
I don’t know if I should say thanks for fixing the bug.

OK about the earnings error, but I seem to have lost views, likes and even a positive comment overnight!

Like all the others, I too was happy seeing the sudden rise in earnings. I kept refreshing the page to see if it was true. Though the excitement was short lived, Im only glad that it has been fixed. It would have been worse if we never got the extra money!
i was happy when i saw my earnings rise in 1 day and then went back down the next.
how long does it usually take before you start making money?
Oh, I was wondering why I had suddenly gained a few dollars in earnings for one of my articles, which was more than I had earned since I published it last month.

You will begin to see income as page views accumulate, and as the data is transfered to our system. Earnings can take a few days to show up on your account.

Yeah wow… quite a pleasant shock yesterday and last evening to see my EARNINGS jump over by over $109.00, -even though I really suspected that it was in error. I took multiple screenshot images of this, and of my ‘content’ pages which suddenly seemed to be very popular. Ahhh… -if only that were true!!
I am glad that it was resolved. Now, -back to creating and uploading.
I am still eager for the “FIX” option on submitted images to be repaired.
It was a bummer to have such a rise (and then fall). I feel like I am back in the stock market..lol My question is, could you give us a little explanation what type of bug or how this could happen since I am still learning exactly how it is that we get paid for our writing! I love your site, and appreciate all that you do for us, but I am hoping it will help explain some more to how all this works & how you knew how much was incorrect?
My earnings are now lower by 2 cents than before there was a “problem” and it was “fixed”, hmm, how exactly does this work?

Mary Contrary – The bug was an error in a data stream from one of the advertisers with whom we work. It caused all of our numbers to shift dramatically and once the error was found, it was a simple fix.

It was nice having the illusion of being rich for a day! Haha. I figured there was a glitch or something. Glad to see it got taken care of. Although I think everyone will agree with me that it would have been nice if those were our real earnings totals!

This is horrible, i just thought i earned over $160 and now it turns out to be a error — so horrible!
I can’t believe how I was so excited that my account was showing 1.10 yesterday and now its down to .04 how upsetting. I just wonder what you really need to do

I agree, I was so happy about the earnings going up. I have been thinking about removing myself from the site cause the earnings were so low compared to a different site I use. SO i was shocked to come on yesterday and see my earnings so high. I started to believe it was a bug cause it didnt make any sense and there was no post about the change in earnings to begin with

I think the error was made in ‘fixing’ it. Bogus. Very disappointing, and I think, erroneous too.
i was also surprised my earning went up that easily. but i was glad the thing was cleared up before i began expecting to receive some money.

Like Rebecca Lowell up there, I believe my earnings have actually decreased from $0.49 to $0.41 after this system error.

My earnings went up to over $800 LOL . Never mind, it was fun while it lasted! Time to write some more and to those people complaining about how little they earn, you have to keep going, keep writing and most of all market your articles. You won’t earn much if you can’t be bothered to do the marketing. Sorry to sound so blunt about it, but it’s true!
Actually, I had thought my ‘earnings’ dropped a couple of pennies too when this was ‘corrected’. But no matter.
What would be nice is to have the CONTENT view not only have the SHOW ROWS/NEXT on the bottom, but have it on the TOP of the columns as well.
When viewing “50 rows” and scrolling up & down looking for the “NEXT” button is a bit inaccessible, especially when coupled with that pop-over thing “RECOMMEND” (I’ll write about that next.)
Place a “SHOW ROWS” function at the TOP of the displayed CONTENT rows as well as the at the bottom
Also: question:
The ‘number of views’ displayed, -are these unique views, or are they ‘any viewing’ by any member? I have noted (to my angst) that one can click ‘LIKED’ on images that they themselves have uploaded… This could give a false impression of actual ‘unique views’. Things like Google AdSence forbids that users ‘click ads on their OWN site’, trying to artificially raise their click-rate. They can get censured for doing that, possibly, have their account ’stopped’.
Does this apply here?
And now: -I find that “SHARE”/”Recommend & Share” pop-over more than a little annoying. -Could it be moved completly to one side (farthest-right or farthest-left)? Accessible, but out of the way.
Whenever I (and I am sure other members see it also) happen to mouse-over this by accident, the pop-over appears and ‘gets in the way’ for several seconds. I am constantly trying to ’shake it off’ the pointer-tool(”arrow”). Again, Accessibility issue here. The “Recommend” function while it should be PROMINANT , should NOT be annoying and disruptive.

The ban on clicking on Google Adsense ads only applies to the ads on your own site. The Google ads here belong to Triond not to us, so we can click away if there’s anything we want to read. At least that’s the way i understand it. Correct me if I’m wrong, Kim, and I’ll stop doing it.
Thanks, but that isn’t what I meant. I am familiar (just barely! grin!) with AdSence.
That a submission here on Triond is ‘vote-able’ by the same person and uploaded it, is my point. One could just sit there and click “like” again and again, thus, artificially raising their (apparent) views/likes. I doubt if they’d profit from it except for some false sense of popularity.

Yes, I was very, very happy to see the earnings jump. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought it might be an error, but I tried to ignore the message from my subconsious. I thought, maybe people really enjoyed my content more than I initially realized. Oh, well, I guess I am happy the error has been fixed.
I too was delighted to see an extra $470 added to my balance, but then devastated to see it removed again later. Personally I think they should pay us all those amounts as compensation.
But it does seem that not many people earn decent amounts of money on Triond…
I am really irked by the “earnings-error.”
I am new to Triond and was excited to see my new earnings. In reaction to the earnings I posted a ton of new content.
I would not have posted some of that content at the accurate earnings.
289 hits deserves more than 31 cents. I sold my intellectual and artistic properties for too cheap.I think Triond is a rip off.

I think i did not get my full earning for the day this event occurred and also I’ve got a delay of payment today as for me i am lagging about 6$ by this please look into this. it is very frustrating.
I had faith in Triond resolving the problem. So I did not write when my earnings were not reported correctly.

My payment for 8/15 seems to be increasing yesterday and today from what was in the e-mail. It jumped twice in two days. Not sure what this means.

I got more than a thousand hits in one of my articles but I only got a little over a dollar. I also noticed advertisements alongside my articles. How do you compute earnings for aricles that generate over a thousand hits/visits?

We are very sorry for the confusion and frustration caused by this error. In addition to showing an incorrectly high number under the “Content” and “Earnings” tabs, the error caused a discrepancy between the amount displayed as the “Next Payment” and the amount shown on your monthly statement email for July.
As of this post, your Triond account will show the correct earnings for your submitted content. The balance in your monthly statement email is still the correct earnings amount for July.

Yes thank god you fixed the earnings but like some other people I lost page views and comments. Then again last night my earnings again have changed just wondering if any other user noticed this overnight as well? Anyways great site keep up the good work.

Whats up with my earnings? You said you fixed the error in earning; mine was showing $524.00. Thats great but now after the said earnings error was fixed and reported as so, since then my earnings went up a little each day and i was suppose to be recieving a payment of $16.24 on Aug.15th 2008. Now again the amounts have changed to that of “now” $10.35 for Aug 15th payment.

Strange strange strange. My earnings overview now shows ‘This months income: $25.84′ and ‘Next payment, August 15: $0.00′. Why is this so? I use paypal so i have met the minimum balance. Also, its been 2 days, but my expected $70 hasnt been received yet

It does not seem to me that any earnings error has been “fixed”, I am still missing money, I am still not getting views recorded, as a matter of fact it looks as if my whole site has been frozen!
I have had an article waiting for publication for 4 days now! Before it was the very next day!

This can be very discouraging.
I am still in the area of making pennies per day. I too was excited to see that my pay had went up dramatically, but when I checked the page views, I knew instantly something was wrong. Sure, I could have used the money. Since I did not earn it, then I don’t feel bad about not getting it.
I just wish that I could get my page views up to the point where I could make more money. I think I will spend some of my day reading more of the articles that were written to help others find their own way of making money at Triond.
The biggest change I need to make that I know of so far is writing more content. Also finding hot topics is important. Those are the two things that I have noticed so far from my reading and personal experience.
