We Heard You – Save A Draft Online

Yesterday we told you about the newest upgrade to Triond, our Online Editor. We learned there were some problems with losing unsaved work, so we quickly made a few changes. Now you can save a draft of your unpublished content to work on at a later time. Just click the “Save as Draft” button next to “Submit” at the bottom of the page. In addition, when you use the Online Editor your work will be saved after 5 minutes automatically, and then every 5 minutes thereafter.

To see your unpublished articles, click on the “Drafts” tab under “Content.” Fix, delete, or leave them for later – it’s your work so take as much time as you need to complete it.

Thanks for all of the feedback on the Online Editor. Triond strives to give you what you need to succeed in online publishing.

Happy drafting!

  1. Darlene says:

Thank you for responding to our concerns so quickly. Being able to save drafts online will make writing and submitting much easier and faster.

  2. Great to see this getting done so quickly. Now I’m definitely more inclined to use the Online Editor.

  3. Mary Contrary says:

Awesome response time! I am more impressed with Triond everyday! Thank you!

  4. IcyCucky says:

That is wonderful! Can’t wait to try it out!

  5. serioussamp says:

Great! Your response time is incredible!

  6. thestickman says:

YAY!!! Fantastic!!! I am devoted to you folks now, Triond! What a fast, rightous turn-around! :-)

Oh you wannabe publishers, -don’t be afraid to submit an article that you’re proud of, to StumbleUpon, Digg or etc. I did (I guess there is nothing wrong with a self-vote) and within just a few hours, I see that the story has received 63 ‘views’! Okay… now I’m stoked! I think I understand why writers love what they do and I’m not a very skilled writer, -but I do want to become better at it. And Triond is helping me realize this (and throwing a few pennies my way for my efforts!) :-)

    Publish-on, folks!

I am sooo glad to finally see that there are other people on the site that are trying to figure this awesome site out. Being a new kid on the block, it took me days to figure out how to even do anything on the site. And living in a rural area with horrid dial up really makes it hard to stay online for over five minutes at a time. I am CONSTANTLY getting knocked off before I can submit my poetry. Finally, my twenty one year old daughter, Dezmyn showed me how to save and submit my pennings. Now I’m ready to rock n roll! Stop by and read, I will return the favor! I promise!

you all are really on top of it. Right on!

  11. um…i had 8$ and now i only have 8 cents….what happend???i waited a little and didnt get it back plz tell me wat i should do, i want my money back

  12. louie jerome says:

Tried this out with my latest article. I wrote the text in Word and pasted it into the editor, then saved the draft while I sorted the pictures out. Pictures and video are easy to insert exactly where you want them. It is eaay to use and gives a bit more control over the finished article. Great stuff! How about a spell checker?

  13. DwarfPope says:

Awesome! This makes plain text&mage article writing a lot easier, no more uploading word docs.

    Congrats!

  14. Thanks! This quick response times to concerns and suggestions are why we enjoy writing for this great site.

  15. This is a terrific idea! Thanks for the online editor help! I really need it on my webpage:https://www.triond.com/users/Justin+L+Moreaux. I’ll be sure to use it a lot!

    Thanks again!

  16. Judy Sheldon says:

I love the way Triond is always on the cutting edge. I can’t wait to try this new feature out.

    Thanks, Triond!

  17. Johaubannah says:

This is really great. I just read it today. Now I might be using it always. Thanks for this good news. :)

  18. DwarfPope says:

As I said above, I like the online editor.
But I would like to see a function added where you can edit your declined content. It’s quite annoying if you haven’t saved your article anywhere, publish it and it then gets declined, because you would have to write it again completely.

  19. Mary says:

Am I understanding correctly when the online editor says to upload and submit by uploading photos and videos, the old way, instead of using the new online editor? I see there is an icon for uploading photos and videos right in the new online editor. I’m confused on this since it sounds like it’s saying two different things.

The whole idea of the online editor is great, and now being able to save a draft makes it even better. Thanks!

  20. Kim Donovan says:

Mary – if you would like to embed photos and videos into the body your article with text, you can do so using the Online Editor (the icons you see are correct). However, if you want to upload just a single photo, or a single video – for example, to Picable – then you should use the Submit File method instead.

  21. Athlyn says:

The Online Editor is great–makes submitting so much easier. Thanks for the Draft option so that declined work can be used elsewhere.

  22. Alexa Gates says:

I love the Online Editor, you can work on your content where ever you are! But, is there any way a spell check could be put on it? It would make life a little more simple ;) Thanks

    Alexa

  23. Gokul says:

    That’s really great!
    I could realize the fruits

  24. faatih says:

i also have saed something with title innocence never…
    plz where it is

  25. Eric Bright says:

yeah im still skeptical about this site if anyone would like to share with me their experiences with it… hateshand@hotmail.com and yes good response time is great.

  26. rakkav says:

But what good is this new online editor (which I’ve tried and enjoyed) when whoever it is that edits my texts doesn’t keep the features I put in, even though they’re within the stylistic Guidelines? I put in italics in submissions and they’re removed, every time. I have to resubmit and ask (in all caps) for them to be kept in. The online editor can insert both italics and boldface, yet once again my use of italics was ignored.

  27. jhenz says:

Good job guys! Triond is indeed getting better. :D

I just have one suggestion. With regards to saving a draft, can we have it automatically? It’s because in cases of emergencies where I immediately lost my connection and I wasn’t able to hit my Save as Draft button, my initial article would be wasted. It would have been much better if it saves automatically as draft. :D

Anyways, just a suggestion for future improvements. ;)

    Thanks!

  28. Kim Donovan says:

Faatih – please send an email to support@triond.com with the details of your article and I can help you find it.

Rakkav – we are aware of the problem with Italics, it is not an intentional change. We are working to fix the issue.

jhenz – a draft will save automatically after 5 minutes, but if you would like to save it sooner, you must click the “Save as Draft” button.

In general, I remind you that our editors reserve the right to make minor adjustments to your article to improve it’s chances of succeeding, and to fit the format to the style of the site on which it will be published. For more information, please check our Terms of Service agreement.

Which is easily accepted, submitted through the usual submit page or through the online editor?

I have been over 24 hours that I have submitted my content in the online editor. This hasn’t happened to me when I use the usual submit page.

    Thanks.

  30. elf_fu says:

This is excellent and wonderful news.

Thank you so much, Triond, for listening and getting there step by step. There are, however, a few things you might want to be aware of:

As I think richimontalbo said, submitting via the editor seems to take a bit longer to get my content out there.

I’ve always had issues with using images in triond (As an amateur photographer, almost all of the images I use are my own.). When I submitted using a document, none of the images were ever shown or used in my articles. I thought that by using the Triond Editor this may solve that problem–it seems not the case. A recent article I published is without the image I inserted into it, *and* has been stripped of the bold lettering I used for formatting.

So–while a good thing, still have some bugs to work out. :)

  31. Angela Igawe says:

very handy.this allows you time to type and think and come back later to do some changes

  32. acecampillo says:

There are times when the article is not accepted because of some errors. I do suggest that the draft should remain at the draft tab even though it’s already been submitted so that you can still go back and fix it( if ever the article got rejected). Thanks and God Bless!

I am just wondering. Can it be possible that an article can be erased using the on- line editor?
I have been working on an article for a week now. Twice, this same article had been gone. And I am really sure that I didn’t delete it.

    Could there be other explanations?
    Thank you very much. :{
