July Payments Sent: Hot from the Oven
Is it hot in here or is it just Triond? August is heating up, and Triond is paying up. Your monthly payments have been sent today, so please be on the look out for your designated payment method. PayPal folks, check your online balances. For our Check payees, look in your mailbox as they’ll be coming soon. And Western Unioners, keep an eye out for your email with the transaction number.
Speaking of feeling the heat… Last week we informed you of a small problem that made a huge impact on Triond users, staff, and computer systems alike. Our technical team performed an upgrade to the income stream reporting system to make it faster. However, as many of you know, an error in the system cause your earnings to go on an unexpected roller coaster ride. There was also a calculation error on “This Month’s Income”, and on top of all that, “This Month’s Income” was being continuously added to “Next Payment.” This is why many of you saw a decrease in both amounts when we fixed the problem. We want to emphasize that no money was lost and that it was merely a reporting error.
We have responded to many questions and blog comments from confused, frustrated, and angry users. Let me reiterate how sorry we are for the disturbance. With all new technology and upgrades, bugs are inevitable. Our ongoing process to improve Triond and to make the system faster and more reliable can have unwanted troubles. We try our best to resolve problems as soon as they happen, and we appreciate your patience.

It’s not yet posted on my Payment History – no Payment ID yet, and haven’t received an email also stating that i can already get my earnings at Western Union. For the last months of June and July, my earnings were posted on time on the Payment history and I also received my email from Western Union on time.

Just a note: I received my Aug.15th payment on time (and PayPal notification of same) for the previous month’s 67-cents. So far this month I am up to $2.59 so, -we’re moving in the right direction!

DASHBOARD – Published Content
a few items are always listed, with ‘views’ numbers. It never seems to agree with the views/pays on
CONTENT – Published Content
Several items are ‘off’ by a factor of a hundred+ or more… -My guess is that the “DASHBOARD – Content Overview” shows the number of ‘new unique views’ since the last visit, maybe? Or, a stored previous example?
One item, “published content” says “167 views” while “content overview” last night said “16 views”. This morning it says “6 views” (leading me to believe that these are in fact, new unique views since previous visit..)
I do not understand fully how you fine folks at Triond calculate this but I am trusting that you do. I was just curious and was hoping that you could enlighten me.
And THANK YOU
for repairing the “FIX” ability for submitted images; I have had several images with a misspelled word or two or in need of improved TITLE/TAGS/DESCRIPTION and the only other option was file-deletion and re-submission with corrections. This would of course have removed the current ‘views’ and probably ‘pays’ for the item being so corrected.
I am enjoying this service a lot!

I have a question about payments. How much do you have to make to recieve a payment? I just submitted 2 articles(first time user) and paydays are 15th of September, correct? how long will it take to make money???
I sent in 2 poems that were both published. I was told I earned .01 on Aug 15, ‘08, but how do I earn the $50.00 that I was told I could earn? It said I have to do it through your agency and not as a user. I don’t quite understand that process. Could you send a more thorough explanation of this process to my email above? Do I have to go under a different submenu and not user like I’ve been doing to be seen more often? I kept telling people to visit but didn’t understand that if you’re not signed in you can’t access community or explore submenu so I think I was sending them to the wrong place to read the poems. Do I have to go under a different submenu and not user?

Nicole, we pay via three different payment methods: Check, Western Union, and PayPal. You must earn a minimum of $50 to be paid by check or Western Union, but the PayPal minimum is only $0.50.

Your article needs a few days to generate income. Page views are tallied daily, and income is reported after it is calculated.

how many views do i need before i get paid?
I was hoping to ‘break the four-dollar mark’ this month (up from 67-cents last month.) Doesn’t quite look like I’m going to make it. Another 32-cents to go…
Images seem to need ‘about 8-12 views’ to show ‘one penny’ on average, -does this sound about right? I have some images that have several hundred views, netting around 25-30 cents this month alone. Curiously, images that I thought would be ‘hot’ are mediocre and images that I thought were ‘bland’ or ‘boring’, seem to be getting VIEWS! (???)
It is TEXT articles that seem to get the best returns. I guess text articles cannot be consumed entirely in one view/visit, and they might be getting re-visited, bookmarked, shared or forwarded, etc. And good content with ‘good indexable keywords’ creates links for AdSense, which itself, a good traffic & revenue generator. Blogs are target-rich media for spider-bots/SEARCH engines and your inline-link is YUM for Google!
You have to ’self-promote’ your work too; post to Stumble, DIGG, etc. -I worry about getting ‘blocked’ or ‘banned’ by them as a ’spammer’ so I try to not ‘flood’ any such recommend site too much/ too quick… Strive for GOOD content thought (written articles and yes, images too.)
Go to BLOG sites about similar topics that YOU have written, and post, -leave a ‘breadcrumb’ back to a Picable article related to the topic, written by yourself. You want TRAFFIC and personal BLOGS do provide it.
I eagerly anticipate writing more articles and sharing more pictures, -and getting $. ;-D

I am just another member here, trying to inspire hope and continuance and maybe should not get too involved with ‘do this, this and then do this next’ explaining. Again, the FAQ files are quite revealing what you need to know & do, and worth another read.
