Palestineismail – Yes, there are minimum thresholds for payment. It depends on the payment method you have chosen. For PayPal, you need to have $0.50 in earings before we can pay you. For Western Union and pay by check, the minimum earnings is $50. Also, there is a $3 check processing fee.

Peggy – To change anything in your article, just submit a fix. Click on the “Content” tab, find the article you’d like to fix, and then click on the pencil icon.

I have just started with triond and have made a total 4 submissions out of which one has been submitte. Yesterday i saw the Content Overview and had 9 views and 1 likes but now if i check it again it says 2 views.
Please see what happened.

You probably had 9-views yesterday, and the ‘reset’ show that you have two additional views today. The top five performing articles are ‘updated’ on “Content Overview” so you can track what is being viewed the most. Check your “Content” on the black bar (third tab from the left, top,) -it probably says “11 views” for that article…
The Content Overview ‘refreshes’ once every day (views, comments,) to show the current day’s happenings. A useful feature.

Does the “underline” and “strikethrough” feature work on the Online Editor? I still have trouble getting these to work (they do not work) and while not essential to an acceptable final formatting to my articles submitted via Online Editor, it would be nice if they actually performed. I have upon several occasion submitted articles and included these features using the Online Editor, but they fail to propagate to the output. I usually have to “FIX” a time or two before the formatting is correct (what I intended.) the “FIX” doubtlessly being applied to the published page, thus bypassing the (faulty?) Online Editor…
While I may not be the best at ‘editing’ my own content and far from being any kind of ‘technical writer/content editor’, upon several occasions I have had submitted articles of mine acquire certain textual formatting that is incorrect and NOT the way I submitted.
For instance, hypothetical citing of a major world event like “World War One” and “World War Two” would be shorthand written as such:
WW 1
and
WW II
but if submitted to Online Editor, *someone* changes this to the incorrect format:
WW 1
and
WW 2
The effort is not appreciated, and, it is incorrect. The “I” and “II” represent ROMAN NUMERALS, and this is how they are written, in western markup. Not as “1″ and “2″.
I also noticed that sometimes, an ‘editor’ (person, or maybe even the Online Editor software itself?) will removed “BOLD” formatting on selected text uploaded and while this is less problematic than not having “underline” and “strikethrough” ability, it isn’t what the author intended. Assuredly, enough misspellings occur in content submitted & published on Triond hosting that are left untouched. It MAY improve the story to remove unnecessary “BOLD” stress/strength on certain words, but I think that the original author should be the judge of what and how they wish to communicate the text.

*sigh*… now I’m doing it… example of above: “WW 1″ was supposed to be “WW I”.
I have just corrected the FIX correction… again. Apparently, a “double-colon” occurring after a alphabetic character causes the previous character to ‘double’. I have encountered this several times now… It seems that giving a ‘whitespace’ before the double-colon is okay, though.
So for instance, “WW I:” would show up as “WW Ii:” *sigh*… So, writing it as “WW I :” seems to solve this…
I suspect that we are using slightly different charset. I use “charset=iso-8859-1″. I note that “double-quotes” look different when content is uploaded as well…
I’ve only earned 0.13 cents so far for 6 articles. I’m new to this. What’s the best way to earn money? Should I send my articles to everyone I know and then tell them to send them to everyone they know, etc.

Do I need to have a bank account number attached to my paypal account in order to receive payment? I have a debit card attached to my Paypal, but I don’t know if the money gets put into my checking account, or if nothing happens.
Also, if you don’t make it to $.50 or $50 in a month, does your payment get completely erased for that month, or carry over into the next month?
