Earnings Reporting Error Has Been Resolved
Earlier this morning we caught wind of a slight error that caused your earnings to be reported incorrectly high, similar to the earnings reporting error from July. We have since fixed the reporting system, but you may have noticed the numbers on your dashboard and earnings tabs fluctuating a bit. If you saw a strangely high total under your earnings, we’ll bet that you were pretty happy to have your own “Black Friday” profit. However, we’re sorry to report that’s not actually the case.
Please know that NO earnings have been lost in this error, it was simply a miscommunication within our reporting system. We understand this is frustrating, but glitches like this can happen in the online world. We work our hardest to prevent errors from occurring, but sometimes they do.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Support Team at support@triond.com.
We hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday and wish you a pleasant weekend.
N.B. – Black Friday is called “Black” Friday because companies who are in the “red” (meaning they are spending more than they are making) hope that the Holiday shopping rush will push their bottom line into the black (by making a nice profit). So, no, it’s not because the huge crowds make you black out…
Happy (turkey) publishing!

Too bad lol
Wow.. This sucks..
I never knew that! Thanks for the black Friday info.
I noticed the jump earlier- then double took when the figures failed. thanks for info.
Lol, dang… In the back of my mind, I kinda knew it was too good to be true… =/
I was incredibly happy in the morning! infact could not even believe my eyes!!
but now i am sad as hell and the crash to the ground from seventh heaven has been hard!!
but thanks for the clarification!! appreciated!
Hmmmmm sad news..anyways its better to be fair rather than loosing any amount in future due to such errors. Since, we can’t be always lucky to get High amount in every error.

… good job I didn’t rush out and spend it in the shops!
I was wondering. Thanks.
Well, I thought that we might be paid a more reasonable amount for the work we have put into our articles.. I was thinking of continuing to contribute to Triond. I’m afraid I am quite new here and have not been very impressed at all so far. There are some lovely people in this community- but I’m not so sure about the Triond system. It seems like effort on the writer’s part in terms of content restrictions and quantity of input with almost no pay- I did send a message last week to admin. Maybe you might consider some reforms in a considered manner? Thank you.
It is perfectly okay with me. I understand mistakes happen. I was quite happy though. I also understand that good things come to those who are patient.
I was shocked when i saw my high earnings! And then i thought it could be upfront payments! For 1 article i had 80c with only ova 100 page views! I thought it was wierd because its suposed to be 1 dola for 1000 page views! But it would be good if triond introduced upfront payments! Triond, please take this great suggestion!
I was actually hoping that it meant that Triond had actually contracted some advertisers that actually pay a little bit of money and that we’ve been enduring all of these flash ads that lock up our browsers for a good reason. But… c’est la vie, I’m still writing for pennies with a crashing browser.
I thought you were paying us more for our work the first time that happened. I was excited that some of my higher viewed articles got a boost to what they should have been earning. Oh well.
Just letting the community know, and since I just read the terms of use and see no copyright protection besides ourselves this site is stealing articles and earning money off of them which in my eyes is stealing.
Let him, I already have! myamazingfacts.blogspot.com
Yes, I stated stealing twice and do you know why? He keeps doing it!
I almost had enough for a cappuccino! Thanks for the resolve Triond :j
Don’t ya’ll be bitter…life goes on.
Thanks for the immediate resolve. Nice to see my real earnings again.
Well, hopefully there won’t be any more errors in the future.
Wow. This sucks
well, that sucks.
I recently read an article right here on Triond, that OMG it –> LOOKS and READS <– so very similar to another article written by ANOTHER Triond writer!! I mean whole, entire sentences, and in the say order and ggeneral writing style!!
I am trying to find the original story, but you know, -if this second writer is in fact STEALING content from here (and from another Triond writer at that!), -I would be very, very angry and might consider legal actions…
jmho…

Surprise, suprise – and boy O boy, was I supprised! 5 cents up and 5cents down. Had a chuckle about it when I realized that I’m still going to be better off in the long run than most people in this country when the Rudd Government runs out off all that money they’re handing out runs out!!!!!
I Love Triond.
I am truly getting tired of these regurgitated stories and I am the pot stirrer on here so here it goes. It may be time to take your writings to a more cerebral place. I know that sometimes you have to throw in a completely useless piece for those that only like pictures but, let me just say and I am speaking for more than just myself:
Lay off the out of focus pictures of your dining room chairs.
No more stories on different kinds of fruit pleaseeeee! There are hundreds of similar articles on Triond and some of them are copied verbatim from WIKI!
No more TOP 10 Lists: about wacky houses(yes I did one way back when), springs, you get the picture.
Unique writing is a must! This is what sets you apart from the other writers. Look at RJ Evans and Patrick Bernauw. I know there’s more than these writers so don’t be to sensitive if you don’t see your name.
For my all my pot stirrer buddies…..Love you all!
Oh ok. But does anyone know how many views or such it takes to begin receiving money? I haven’t and I’m wondering why everyone else is…
I noticed that it had apparently affected the number of viewings in my article. They went from 10 down to 3 and 3 ‘likes down to 1. Was this part of the same problem?
How long does it take for the dashboard to start showing what you’ve earned once people start looking at the articles?
Hi All,
We appreciate all of the comments and suggestions. We’re very sorry for the error – we were frustrated too! Your earnings displayed as of Saturday morning are correct, and no other information was affected.
Please remember that date ranges affect how your earnings are displayed. On your dashboard, under “Content Overview” you’ll see one-day totals only. Under “Earnings Overview” you’ll see the current month’s total, as well as the next payment amount.
In regards to your concerns about article theft and originality; we know these are very important issues to address, and so we will be devoting a section of our monthly newsletter to provide you with information on how to handle these situations. Look for it in your mailbox soon!
Best,
Kim

This is happening AGAIN? This is EXACTLY why I have ditched Triond in favor of other writing venues.
This is a continuing problem Triond! The July error was also very frustrating. You could very easily be ripping off every writer here and call it “an error.”
How can writers trust you with this CONTINUING problem?
Initially, I was shocked upon seeing my revenue rise to 500 percent, but when I noticed that the detailed earnings didn’t equate to the reported sum, I knew it was an error. A minute thrill though… seeing my earning quantified in few dollars, instead of few cents. *Reality surfaced too soon*
Well, I do enjoy writing here at Triond despite this occasional glitches or when Support doesn’t bother to respond to my well-meant queries.
Although it’s here in Triond I have the smallest earnings, I enjoy the variety of the dot coms it offers.
So, I understand the recent glitch, it happens anywhere, cyberspace or not.
Kind regards,
Tel

But I just bought a chainsaw. This really throws off the math.
Again, thank you all for your understanding. There will always be individuals who don’t trust online interactions. But the majority of Triond users tell us that the reasons why they stay here are all in the details; payments are made in a timely fashion, articles are published and edited to your liking, and in general, Triond makes online publishing easy, accessible, and fun.
We’re happy to have such an excellent, creative community. Keep up the great work, and thank you for your continued patience as we make improvements to the site and service.
Think of it this way
- you walked into the Triond realm with your eyes open,
- No one asked you to stick around; so write stuff that makes people want to stick around,
- Triond is an IT company get it? There everyone is working as hard as anything to make it work ( under stark lighting and probably with little pay ) Unlike your sweet-a==sd selves who luxuriate in you living room or office ( oops composing on the bosses time naughtynaughty )
- Man, they bust themselves at Triond to make you happy.
Be grateful; you never know when it may be taken away . j
I dont get much amount, I get only cents!
I’m going to stick my neck out and make some pithy comments about the advertisements that appear with some articles that appear under the Triond group; -those ’shadowbox’ ads that when you accidentally drag your pointer-tool over and it launches the half-page media thing (usually, a automobile ad, etc)… SUCK! They slow down the browser (often, locking it up,) they are ANNOYING, INTRUSIVE and damn UNATTRACTIVE. They represent the epitome of why browsers have extensions like “AdBlock2″, to silently kill these ads in the background. It gives advertising a bad name. It does NOT improve my opinion of the product being offered as result. People will be installing “AdBlock” and “NoFlash” extensions after they get upset with bad ads like these..
I know that this site is ‘powered by ads’ and this is how we are getting paid BUT do the ads have to be so doggone annoying and intrusive? “pop-up/pop-under” and THESE self-launching missives, are ‘advertisia non-Gratia.’
Launching ‘on-hover’ is a bad ‘black hat’ trick. At least, these should be ‘onClick’ or have a “PLAY” button and let the visitor DECIDE whether or not to run these RAM-sucking events take over thier computer’s responsiveness for 30-60 seconds…
Once the ad begins, it seems that it cannot be ’stopped’ despite the ’stop ad’ button… Again, -shady & bad best practice..
-I’m actually rather looking forward to the suggested ‘users forum’ where issues can be discussed, -I plan to regular contributor for issues such as this.
ok i can wait. all i want to get is just a few bucks for a rs membership. i know theses things happen.
yeah stickman those things are just stupid ds that aren’t even related to the darn subject. its like say you search for a fishing line. you wave your mouse over something in the article then it says “we’ve got the best selection of lines”, then thers some stupid website that looks like one that says what you need when you need it. RLY annoying.
Well I am coming from an Accessibility and Trust angle here, -those ‘movements’ are strainful for those whom have mild forms of epilepsy and inability to focus. -When the AD takes the ‘focus’ of the viewer AWAY from the ‘content’ (the article, etc.), we are handed an injustice. And like JAVA and some kinds of JAVASCRIPT that perform any action that is ‘un-initiated’ by the visitor (’pop-up’, ‘pop-under’, ‘auto-play’, and no ‘controls’ to shut it off until it completes, etc.,) there is a violation commited against the client (the visitor to the page.) Not to mention that the ‘movie’ takes so long to load and it takes like 30-60 seconds for the page to resolve due to the COMMERCIAL Ad trying to enter RAM. I run at near T-1 speed and some pages (not just mine, but other authors here too) pages take nearly 45-60 seconds to load… and it is the “advertisement” that is the culprit.
-I would suggest that text-only ads, image-with-text and “PLAY”-button ads that require a manual “click” to commence, be the only ones permitted. This deprecated ‘auto-play video’ componant which is a left-over hold-out from the 1990s web needs to go.
Just now that I thought that my pictures were being famous
Ummm… it says under my earnings for today on the dashboard i’ve earned 2 cents but under content it says i havent earned anything during the month of december… is that what this is talking about???
Im so pleased that i have had a chance to read comments from other triond members. Unfortunately, a vast majority of us seem to think that you are letting us down. So much input from us for so little progression with advertisers, infact there only seems to be one.
I hope that you get it right as it seems that a few of your members will be going elsewhere.
Take care
I am very grateful to Triond for the chance to share my work, get immediate feedback from other writers, and I have made friends here. I can write from home, work around my disability, and even though the pay isn’t much, it is way better than paying someone to publish your work, or sending manuscripts here there and everywhere and then getting all of the rejection letters.
I just hope that all of these whiners won’t result in Triond having to shut down. I for one am sticking with it.
I am not interested in ‘Boycotting’ Triond; I am getting exactly the deal I signed-on for. Oh, I squeak a lot when I think things are not going my way but I have to believe that they know more about their business than I do. I am not ‘an employee’ here, -I am a VOLUNTEER. A volunteer submitter of articles and pictures, for pay. I can be replaced.
Do I wish my works paid more? Sure, -we all do. But this is the package I agreed to. I am learning to write better as a result, if nothing else.
Maybe cooler heads and more communication will be the end-game of all of this, but a bit less talk about ‘the ogres of Triond’ (<– I personally find this offensive) seemingly occupying top-level billing and ‘hot users,’ for they have WORKED to get there. No favorites being played. I have communicated with a few top-level writers at Triond and most of them have impressed me very much as being warm, friendly approachable people. They deserve to occupy top-billing for their articles that are merit-worthy.
And as for this ’submit no articles until Monday’ Boycott? –You REALLY thinking this might be effective and you REALLY want to hurt Triond and /or send a poignant message this way? -How about instead of denying them your literary opuses for a week you DELETE YOUR TOP TEN (or TWENTY) PERFORMING ARTICLES, -deny them the right to continue publishing it for a week. Then come next Monday, try to re-submit the articles to them (probably they won’t be accepted, -too similar to previously published works on the ‘net)…
-Lets see how many takers there are on this one.
I think this ‘Boycott’ thing is misguided. But you have the right to your own opinion.
Hello,
Since i started publishing with you guys,i haven receive any notice that my earnings have been send. What us wrong cuz i’m worried. Please get to me
Hi Admins,
I hear allot of people are upset about how much triond is paying. I heard a boycott is going on.
my money is reduce 1 cent per day. my cash is 0.19 cent and my current cash is 0.17
it certainly seems like this is no pay for play proposition. Everyone here creates content for this site on a non paid basis. The site collects presumed revenues for the advertising likely in dollars and pays back pennies or mills to the content creators. So long as people willing give their work away these sites continue to reap profits on the backs of content creators. There is no transparency in this operation/ If there was Triond would publish payment rates per page visit and would employ a independent company for verification of the page hit numbers. No matter how kind and apologetic the support staff are about these recurring errors they can not justify such practices. If they maintain that such procedures would be too costly I say not having them is far costlier to the good will of those that work hard to produce content. If they are not willing to spend/invest in systems that give the content producers confidence that they are being fairly paid Triond is just financing the start up of their site on the backs of we, the content generators.
Do not offer us placating posts in response offer us changes.
Well… You know what? Here I was thinking that maybe this would be a good way to boost recognition and earn a little extra… but after reading this stuff, I think I’ll just stick to the submissions to editors and publishers. At least I really got published several times that way. Pay still sucked though. Better than pennies however :-/
TTFN and all that jazz
