Suggestive Images (No, Not that Kind)
Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 - 10:53 am - News
Today we added a new feature that suggests images for you to use in your articles. There’s a new ‘Get Image Suggestions’ button right next to the Article Body section of the Online Editor.
In order to get the best functionality from the feature, it helps to have your title, description, body, and tags already written. After you have some text entered in these fields, just click on the ‘Get Image Suggestions’ button to see a column of images related to your article. Simply click on an image and -poof!- it appears in the body of your article.
Watch how it works (for best viewing, expand the video to full screen):
Enjoy the new feature!

Nice update, Thanks.
Total Months Earnings 27.96! WOOT!
I’m certainly going to use this feature for my next article. Great addition. Can’t wait to see what it does.
Oh Triond, I think I’m gonna cry, lol.
Another amazing addition. Wow!!!
Thank you. =)
Nice update. And lol at the title of the update
Great! And, this should help people afraid of inserting images in their text article to get familiar with it. Excellent addition!

What a feature! Very very handy! Thanks Triond! You are the besT!
I just wish it was easier for us to post pictures. Though I follow Triond’s guidlines, I have given up on posting pics with my articles.
WOW. I doubted whether this new feature would be any good. So I thought I’d “mock” an article up and try it before I judged.
Oh me of little faith!
It is excellent.
I have had some articles in mind but have put them off for a few days, struggling to find CC images of good enough quality. The example I tried gave me all the pictures I wanted.
Well done.
Wow superb update!!!!!
Really great new feature, this is! Saves a lot of work & gives you ideas! Love it!
This should help cutting down the time to search for images! Thank you for a great addition!
This will be very helpful. Nice cool feature. How much the Triond Editors are dedicated that they give regulars updates now and then.. Thanks!
Wow! An excellent feature. It will be really timesaving….
You guys are on a roll! Each day theres a new feature. Its getting difficult for me to keep track of all the new additions! Hats Off to the Triond team.
tried it. liked it. now we’ll see how my vast reading public responds.
The great updates just keep coming!
Great idea! Another idea would be able to choose the image that goes with our article. It would be better because sometimes Triond assigns an image that is irelevent based on keywords
Triond never ceases to amaze me.
Good work.
Wow! what a feature, F A N T A S T I C !!!!!!!!!!
I like this. I sometimes have issues with delays for publishing using pictures, so this could save some time between submission and posting.
this is so cool! like the tags, i bet this will really be helpful. a lot of your features had helped me so much. thank you team! and keep up the good work.
nice i am happy with this feature!!!!
Thank you, Triond. I’m happy and optimistic hoping this works now. I, too, have given up on posting images on my articles because, even if I follow the given guidelines, with my images and creative common images, these still wouldn’t work. thanks again.
It sounds fantastic. I just tried to use the suggested tag button and it came up blank and then would not allow me to add any??
This is an excellent update. I would often find it frustrating adding images to my article and then having it rejected 2, 3 or even 4 times just because of the reason “Check to make sure the images in your article are not copyrighted.”
At least now I can add images after the fact without worrying about the article getting rejected due to copyright.
triond, love the new home page and the video, this will definitely attract more writers
Also the picture feature, brilliant addition, have already used it
So great!
Fantastic new feature. Makes it so much easier to submit a photo with articles. This should really help allot of people.
I really do love Triond!
One thing I like about Triond it their commitment to continously improve their capability. Good work, Triond Team!
This is such a great idea, and a fabulous range of pictures to choose from.
Just one quick question? Will it be possible to edit previous articles and insert images into them? I tried editing one of mine earlier but the facility to add an image wasn’t available.

A really grate feature!!!
Now is very easy to find images

Una gran mejora
Ahora será mucho más fácil encontrar imagenes.
Another brilliant idea!
Wow! The image feature is incredibly helpful. I saw ans used it today for the first time. Thank you Triond admin for making creating articles so much easier!
I’m assuming that we are free to use the images without having to worry about copyright infringement?
Oops! I just realized that this was a video–and sure enough, the images are safe to use.
I’m simply blown away that Triond has added this feature–one of the best yet. Way to go Triond!
The new image feature is of great help. great services . thank you
I will be writing a new article shortly that may be enhanced using your image-suggestions along with my image source. Good feature.
Thank you
Judy – Please make sure that you include some text in the title, description, and/or body fields before clicking the “Get Suggestions” button for Tags. This will help the system find relevant tags for your article.
Good Vibes Girl – At the moment, you can use the “Get Image Suggestions” button in the Online Editor and in your Revisions. The image suggestion feature is not currently available in the Submit a Fix option for articles that have already been published.
Where does it pull the image suggestions from?
This is the best feature Triond has come up with yet. It was getting so hard to find non-copyrighted images.
Saves a lot of time.
This is a wonderful idea! I was one of the people scrounging the web trying to find relevant images, and then not knowing if I can use them.
Question: can we search more than just the few that come up in the suggested image column?
I hope you have a large collection so that our articles won’t all look the same!
In addition to Flickr.com and Wiki, there is also Morguefile.com. Copyright-free images can be found there, too.
I have published a few articles now with morguefile-sourced images.

It is a good feature. May be we can write some thoughts on the fly into articles with suitable pictures without spending much time.
For more detailed article we would have to probably handpick from flickr etc.
This sounds like it will be a great addition!! Thank you for instituting it. Although, the old method did make me reach a little farther, in seeking to make my own photos; thus developing a skill of illustration for my work.
Keep the improvements coming!!!
A great improvement now would be to have get an “autosave” feature on the “CONTENT – FIX”. As it is now, if a published article need editing, often the connection is broken while editing live, and the revision re-submitted is not accepted. If “FIX” would ‘autosave’ every few minutes like the “online editor” does this would be an awesome addition to an already awesome site.

Hmm if this actually works well it sounds great.
I love it, I love it, I love it!!! What a wonderful addition. Thanks to all…
Sorry for the negativity but I really think this cheapens Triond. For those of us who write and do photography, take the pictures and write about them and work to get pictures to support writing, using freeware pictures cheapens the site.
I would like to see triond REQUIRE that any picture that is stock be identified that way, just as I have to identify every picture I post as “Picture by Author”.
I actually resent Triond’s changing “Picture by Ralph Brandt” to that lifeless comment.
I just posted an article about the long term town policeman in Mt. Holly Springs PA – to get pictures I actually went there and took them. Sure, I did it on a trip that took me close to Holly and slipped past to take the pics. That is cheapened by someone posting stock pictures of something.
BTW, the article is at….

Simple and soothing and visionary one.
Congratulations!
Thanks for the addition very nice and inovative.
I’ve already availed it and it’s really of great help. Thanks for this addtition.
I find this new addition really working as I’ve already used in one of my items. Thanks for helping us improve our content items.
The first time I used this feature in a new article, I was very pleased. The second time, I thought that the U.S.S. Serendipity had pulled into port. Combine a great feature with the apparent fact that the laws of chance don’t work normally around me, and who knows what kind of suggestive photos will show up in my work over time?
And I don’t have any trouble posting photos of my own. It’s just a matter of knowing how, if I may say so.
i am really enjoying….
and wants to enjoy more….

Finally! thanks a lot for putting this feature up at last as i have been getting annoyed sometimes with the photos that are used for my articles. =)
Well, having this feature on your articles will bring you more readers. Thanks a lot for adding it!
Wonderful Idea!
Wonderful Idea! I have tried it out to see how it worked.
I love it! this a great ideal.
yay i joined today! its a nice feature but i showed irrelevant pictures in my article about runescape smithing.it showed pictures of real world mining and smithing. triond team you rock!u should try and improve this feature please!
u suggested that i publish two penises aside my teeanagers poem then you objected to it and erased itm was it too provocative? .all know what a penis looks like anyway. well my poem was left bereft to that extent
Lovelyhoney – Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are looking into it.
Having just returned to Triond, now I have time to write again, I was thrilled to see the new addition of images to add to my story. It made my story look great!
Thanks so much for adding this feature,
Andrea (Gillwho)
Great new feature. I used it for the first time yesterday.
I can appreciate the feature and the ease of which it can be used. I encourage this folks behind the scene to keep coming up with such great ideas. The less time freelance people spend in looking up pictures to compliment our articles, the more we time we can spend doing what we enjoy, writing.
[...] other way of working around this problem is to simply use the “Get Image Suggestions” button located to the right of the Online Editor’s Article Body [...]
