Join in on the Conversation; More Improvements to Commenting

Over the last few months, we’ve evaluated and upgraded the inner functions and outer looks of many of our network sites.  One of the functions that we’re continually working on is commenting.  It’s our goal to make leaving a comment easy,  spam-free, and incredibly user-friendly.

This week, we’ve upgraded the commenting on all of the recently redesigned sites, including Sportales, Relijournal, Telewatcher, Bizcovering, and Writinghood.  Now you can leave a comment virtually hassle-free.

What does this mean?  If you’re already signed in to Triond and want to comment on an article, simply write and submit your comment.  No CAPTCHA, no extra fields to fill in. Take a peek:

new-commenting

If you aren’t signed in, you’ll see a line that says “You are commenting as a guest. If you already have a Triond account, click here to login.”  This link redirects you to Triond for a quick sign in, then we bring you back to the article to leave your comment.

We plan to make this feature available to all of our network sites in the near future.

Happy publishing!

  1. Athlyn says:

This looks to be a great idea, making commenting much easier. Thanks, Triond!

  2. Awesome feature, I’d say..

  3. Feepitee says:

Wasnt the captcha text to stop the botters from publishing on every single article and spamming it?

  4. Don't worry Bout it says:

You guy’s need to redo music coach as well

  5. CA Johnson says:

That’s great. It will make it easier for me to post because I’m always having problems leaving comments.

  6. Rker says:

I was pleased with the last update to making comments. Thanks for continually making even the smallest of improvements, Triond.

  7. Tanya says:

It really great news about the comments,it will certainly make things easier although if you could do auth spot it would be fab.

  8. Judy Sheldon says:

I also like the way Triond changed it earlier so that we can go to someone’s profile to catch the interaction from our comment. Instead of trying to remember which article we left a comment on we can open the writer’s profile and see their latest comments. When they get a subject search for each writer, I’ll love that.

These changes take thought. Thank you.

  9. nutuba says:

This is wonderful! This will make it so much easier. Three cheers to y’all!

  10. May be that’s why I was having trouble leaving comments. You must have been installing the new features!

  11. Jaden says:

    Sounds awesome!

  12. Monica Sappleton says:

    Simply wonderful.
    Monica.

  13. Jose Monaca says:

    Great idea… Sounds good..

  14. Street Smart says:

awesome! something i had been hoping you would add! Thanx

  15. Wonderful addition. But It’s not working. It says, you are commenting as Rookie Expert, but would not accept the comments. Would give as error as “There is a problem on this form. Please correct and resubmit.
server error. requested method w4l.addNonFilteredComment does not exist.”

  16. george says:

in my opinion, i reckon it should have always been like this.

  17. Marla says:

Hi Rookie Expert, this was a temporary problem that is now solved. Please try again. If you encounter any more issues, send us an email to support(@)triond.com

  18. bena says:

Hope it works as the it is promised-
    thanks

  19. MMV Abad says:

Good work. This is better than “bad security strings, comment not posted”. We’ll be waiting for the healthmad and authspot upgrade ;)

  20. C. Jordan says:

Have tried it and it makes commenting a lot simpler. Well done.
Why didn’t you use it here? :)

  21. Mohammed says:

You should have an automatic spam filter added on if possible.

  22. segun says:

    good job guys

  23. Nathan Payne says:

Yeah I def see some improvements, i will like to congratulate and cont. the support of finding, and helping writers like myself to follow their dream

  24. Julianhw says:

Cool move – anything that helps give and receive feedback is good – also being dyslexic I find the CAPCHA fields a ruddy nightmare. Yay! I say.

  25. Linda says:

Great! You guys seem to be on the right track especially for Triond members…

  26. Pete Macinta says:

    Great work Triond!

Yes, this is big help. I noticed the ease of leaving comments tonight on some friends’ pages.

I am glad I joined Triond. I have been with you good people since March 2008 and you always strive to improve.

    Keep up the good work!

  27. James DeVere says:

    Keep commenting

  28. Kheng says:

Looking forward to when it’s available on all your network sites.

  29. This sounds like a good idea, but I don’t see how that’s going to reduce spam. Maybe if you guys were to give incentives for longer and more “thought-provoking” comments, comments might be more than spam and “I like it,” etc.

Nice idea, though; I like where you’re going with this.

    (Go Triond! :D )

    -Fresh Writing

  30. JLEck says:

@Freshwriting…not to reduce spam…to reduce hassle for Triond members to leave comments. Great Idea Triond staffers! Less time hassling over captchas=more time reading/commenting. ;)

  31. MandaGwen says:

can someone please help me….i have been trying for weeks to get this blogging down. i really want to do it and i believe i have some great ideas but have no clue how to start!!!

  32. kalelkva says:

    it’s cool…

  33. rizzei says:

yeah this is cool:) things will get easier. nice! this is such an improvement:)

  34. lilian says:

    i really like this idea

  35. lilian says:

    yeah it would be nice

  36. irishpen says:

This is an interesting idea. But how will it cut down on spam???

  37. estelle says:

@irishpen – Along with the new improvements, there are also behind-the-scenes spam control measures.
